Figuring out how to pipe letters on to my cupcakes and cakes was one of the best things that ever happened to me - no joke! Now I can apply the principles of piping to almost any pattern or image or picture, though it did take a while of practising. Recipe for Royal Icing -
400g icing sugar, sifted
15g powdered egg white (or 1/2 an actual egg white)
4-5 tbs water
You will also need piping bags, a no.2 tip/nozzle/tube, food colour paste, some greasproof paper, sugar paste circles if you want.
