A delicious cheese and vegetable filling stuffed in bread pakoda and toasted to perfection.
CHEESY PAKODA SANDWICH
8 bread slices
1 cup gram flour
2 tsps coriander powder
2 tsps red chilli powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
2 tsps cumin powder
Salt to taste
4 tbsps oil
½ cup shredded cabbage
Finely chopped onion as required
Finely chopped tomato as required
Finely chopped capsicum as required
100 grams processed cheese block
Tomato ketchup to serve
1. In a bowl, add gram flour, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt, mix well. Add 2 cups of water and whisk well.
2. For making one portion, heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan, dip two bread slices in the prepared mixture and place it on the hot oil. Cook till golden brown on both sides.
3. Add a portion of shredded cabbage, chopped onion, chopped tomato, chopped capsicum, grate 25 grams cheese on top of one bread slice. Cover it with the other slice of bread and press it.
4. Cook for 30 seconds on each side. Cut into half and serve hot along with tomato ketchup.
