This video is for everyone that wants to taste delicious, love-filled food in their mouth, but wants to avoid, or cut back on, the animal products as well as the gluten.
The Ultimate VEGAN Cheese Sauce
Butternut Squash or Sweet Potato (1 cup)
Raw Cashew (¾ cup)
Red Bell Peppers (¼ of a red pepper)
Nutritional Yeast (optional) (1 tablespoon)
Lemon or Lemon juice (1 whole lemon)
Oil (1 teaspoon)
Cumin (1 teaspoon)
Garlic Powder (½-1 tsp)
Salt and Pepper (to taste)
Soak your cashews overnight OR soak them for 15 -20 mins in some hot water, NOT boiling water
After soaking overnight, pour out the soaking liquid
Boil your butternut squash or sweet potato until it’s nice and tender (when you can peel it or scoop out the seeds easily)
Add all ingredients into a blender (butternut squash, soaked cashews, red bell peppers, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, oil, cumin, garlic powder, salt and pepper)
Blend them until it’s smooth, sauce consistency
Once you blended that up, you can put it into a squeeze bottle.
And you get this glorious cheesy sauce! ENJOY!
