Panini bread sandwiched with tomato and fresh mozzarella pieces.
12-16 fresh mozzarella pieces
1 panini bread
Butter as required
2 large tomatoes, sliced
2 teaspoons finely chopped pickled jalapenos
6-8 fresh basil leaves, hand torn
Salt to taste
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
1. Cut panini into pieces and slice horizontally.
2. Spread some butter on each slice. Arrange 6 tomato slices on each base halve, sprinkle ½ teaspoon jalapenos, some basil leaves, salt and crushed peppercorns on top.
3. Slice mozzarella pieces, arrange on each base halve and cover with remaining bread slices.
4. Heat a sandwich griller and brush with some butter. Place the sandwiches in it and grill till grill marks appear on both sides.
5. Serve hot.
